Our facilities

Printing

Black and white and colour printing is available for a small fee. Print in A4 or A3 from our computers or your own laptop.

Room hire

At Louth Library we have the Conoco Phillips meeting room for hire for both personal and professional use.

Study space

Whether you're studying or working, find desks, quiet areas and dedicated study spaces at Louth Library. 

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. You can log in on your phone, tablet or laptop. 

Local Studies

We have a range of local studies resources for reference use covering the history of Louth and the surrounding area. Our collection includes:
  • Books: A small collection of publications covering the history of Louth and its immediately area, notable titles include The Book of Louth by David N Robinson MSc and Louth in the Early Days by R N Benton.
  • Directories: Titles such as Kellys and Whites covering a variety of years between 1826 and 1937.
  • Newspapers on Microfilm: Louth Leader 2001–2020, Louth Standard 1922-2001 (incomplete), Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Advertiser 1859-1957 (incomplete), Boston, Lincoln & Louth Herald 1832-1835, Louth Times/Louth and East Lincolnshire Times June 1873-1896 (incomplete), Louth and North Lincolnshire News 1898-1910 (incomplete). A Microfilm Reader is available to use. To book the Reader or check whether the year you want is available, please contact the team direct.
  • Maps: OS sheet maps covering Louth and the surrounding area dating from 1837 to 1991. GOAD maps of shops in the Louth area 1973-2001 are also held.
  • Illustrations: A selection of photographs (some indexed) of Louth and the surrounding area, including the HL Howe and Edward Land Collections.
  • Ephemera: A selections of historical Parish Magazines for various local villages and historical newsletters for local organisations.
  • Notable Collections: The Goulding Collection Louth and Binnall Collection Louth.

Workspaces at Louth Library

Whether you need a desk or a whole meeting room, we have plenty of workspaces at Louth Library.

We have desks and quiet study spaces that are free for everyone to use. They're available on a first come, first served basis.

If you need more room, we also have a meeting room for hire for up to 100 people. Meeting space hire is available for a fee during the day. Minimum hire time is two hours and we'll provide tables and chairs.
