From finances to careers, we offer a variety of advice groups and free guidance for those in need. The Citizens Advice Bureau

The Citizens Advice Bureau run sessions at Lincolns Central Library covering topics like tax, housing and healthcare. They also help with banking and debt issues.


Councillor Surgeries

Talk to your local Councillor at Gainsborough, Mablethorpe and Market Rasen Libraries at their regular surgeries.



English conversation group

If you're learning English for the first time, you can work on your speaking skills in the supportive, informal conversation group at Skegness Library.

Financial support and advice

Barclays drop-in sessions

Get advice from the banking experts at Barclays at these drop-in sessions at Gainsborough, Horncastle and Louth Libraries.

Your Barclays Community Banker will be able to help with a range of banking needs including: 
  • Money management, 
  • Digital and online banking, including using the Barclays app
  • Managing direct debits and standing orders
  • Fraud and scams advice, 
  • Bereavement,
  • Power of attorney support 
  • Discussing mortgage and lending options
They can also help with processing payments and transfers that don’t involve cash or cheques.

Citizens Advice Bureau Sessions

The CAB host drop-in support sessions at Lincoln Library, where they can advise on cost of living support, managing debt, budgeting, benefits and pensions.
