This beginner-friendly triathlon course is designed to introduce you to the exciting world of multisport racing. Whether you’re new to swimming, cycling, or running—or all three!—this program will guide you through the essentials of each discipline while building your confidence and fitness. Over the course of one day, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Swim: Learn the basics of open-water swimming and proper technique for a triathlon-style swim in the pool.
- Bike: Get comfortable with the fundamentals of cycling, from bike fit to gear usage.
- Run: Develop your running form and pacing strategies, ensuring you’re ready to hit the pavement after your swim and bike legs.
In addition to the hands-on training, the course will include informative talks on nutrition for endurance athletes, covering how to fuel before, during, and after your workouts, as well as strength training exercises designed to enhance your performance and reduce the risk of injury.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid understanding of the triathlon format, feel more comfortable in each discipline, and be ready to take on your first triathlon with confidence. Perfect for newcomers looking to dive into the sport or anyone wanting to refine their triathlon basics!
The course is taking please on Saturday 10th May from 10am – 4pm and is led by Janette Cardy, Triathlon Coach, GB age group European champion and silver medallist at worlds in Canada.
