Health & Fitness Gym Refurbishment 2024

The gym at Wantage Leisure Centre will be undergoing a makeover this December. The gym project is a continuation of a number of refurbishment projects the centre is undergoing with further projects happening into 2025. The sports hall was refurbished earlier this year and next year the centre will undergo a Decarbonisation project.

Between Wednesday 4th December and Friday 13th December, the gym will be undergoing its transformation with some restrictions in place for the duration to allow the works to take place.

The floor will be completely replaced and upgraded. Redecoration works will be taking place bringing a new look and feel to the gym.

State of the art equipment will be added completely transforming your work out experience. Brand new resistance kit, sleek new treadmills and new addition’s including a brand new stair climber will be added that will maximise your workouts.

The whole layout and design of the gym will also be changing making the gym feel like a whole new space.  

During this period the gym will be closed and a temporary gym with limited equipment will be available in the hub area, the functional fitness room and studio 2.

For the duration of the works, all Better Leisure centres with The Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire will be available for members to use for free. For information of individual centres please use he Better UK app or www.better.org.uk 

We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the works but we hope you enjoy the new state of the art gym when it reopens on Friday 13th December.
