Women & Girls Programme
At Palmer Park Leisure Centre, we want physical activity to be accessible for all. We have a designated programme on offer for Women and Girls.
We host exclusive Women's only classes, swimming sessions, swimming lessons, gym times and also have football drop in sessions available.
Our Women Only sessions are open to females over the age of 18.
Our Women and Girls sessions are open to females aged 11+. 11-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult (in line with our adult and junior gym rules.)
Women's Only Football
Palmer Park are proud to support the development of community groups and local initiatives.
Just Play! and three wonderful volunteers provide the opportunity for Women to participate in recreational 5-a-side football sessions at Palmer Park on a Thursday evening, 7.30-8.30pm.
These friendly sessions provide a relaxed and social environment for you to either try football for the first time or return to the game! Women of all skill levels are encouraged to take part. These are drop in sessions, where you can turn up, pay and play.

Women's Only Swimming
We provide multiple Women's only swimming sessions each week, as well as a Women and Girls session. Visit our timetable and activity booking to find out more.
During these sessions, the blinds to the swimming pool are closed increasing the privacy of the session. We endeavour to have a female lifeguard present during these sessions.
We also offer Women's only swimming lessons. These lessons help to build your confidence in the water with sessions led by qualified female swimming instructors. They cater to girls and women of all swimming stages and abilities.
Women's Only Gym
Our new programmable gym is located on the first floor of Palmer Park Leisure Centre.
The programmable gym hosts activity from Women's Only and Senior Activity to Junior Activity and Healthwise specific sessions.
Women's only gym is available at the following days and times:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9.30am - Midday
Tuesday and Thursday: 6.30am - 9am and 12.30 - 3pm
Saturday and Sunday: 4pm - 5.30pm
Women and Girls gym is available weekdays 6.30pm - 8.30pm and weekends 8am - 11am.
