Hillingdon Lido, formerly known as Uxbridge Lido, is a 50m, Grade 2 listed outdoor lido and located within the Hillingdon Sport & Leisure Complex, just off the A40 in West London. The iconic lido will be open for Swim for Fitness from April–October.

All swim sessions in the lido, for members and non-members, should be prebooked in advance and can be booked 7 days in advance either via the Better UK app on the Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex club page, or online here, to avoid disappointment.

If you are unable to book, please visit reception when you arrive, and the team will be able to help as long as spaces are available. Please present proof of purchase at reception as screenshots shown at the entrance are not sufficient.

As well as the outdoor pool, you'll find areas to change both indoors and outdoors, lockers and showers available for customer use.

What’s On at the Lido

Swim for Fitness

Swim for Fitness sessions are designated sessions for our customers wanting to swim lengths and keep fit. The Lido is split into 3 or 4 lanes and marked as fast, medium and slow – so you can swim at your own pace. Swim for Fitness sessions are for customers over 16 years, or those who are a club standard swimmer, and should be booked in advance online, or via the Better UK app, to avoid disappointment.

Outdoor Aqua Aerobics

Fresh air and exercise at our outdoor pool sound like a dream. This class puts less stress on your joints and muscles. The impact of gravity is less in the water, allowing a greater range of motion. These classes are available during the summer months to all members, or you can pay as you go if you aren’t yet a member. Please look for updates on social media and our website for when this class launches and bookings are available.

Swim for All

During the summer, the outdoor lido is also open for Swim for All sessions, which are the perfect way to spend fun time with family or friends. Whether you want to play in the water, float away any stress or work on your strokes, these sessions are a perfect get away during the warmer months. An array of floats are available during these sessions or feel free to bring your own.

Adult Swimming Lessons

If you are training for an event or want to improve your technique and fitness, come and train with our resident Swim Doctor, Charlotte Reisch, who is here to advise and help develop your fitness and technique. These Adult Swimming Lessons are for small groups of 10 people, so spaces are limited. Adult Swimming Lessons will be available to book during the summer months only.

Children's splash pool

Children's splash pool

During the summer, the outdoor children’s splash pool is also open for Swim for All sessions, which is a fantastic way to spend fun time with family or friends. This pool is perfect for younger children and is heated to 25 Degrees during the summer months.

Café

Stay refreshed with Hillingdon Sports & Leisure Complex café. Our café is open during the summer months and is lockated in the main leisure complex. Café serves a wide range of food and drink options, which can be brought out to the lido area. On top of that we also have the outside catering area, where we serve ice cream, cold drinks and snacks.

Sun loungers and poolside facilities

We have plenty of sun loungers for you to kick back and relax in the summer sun. So if you are staycationing this year, you can still feel that poolside holiday vibe. Sun loungers are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are free of charge. We also accept tokens which can be purchased from reception for £1 which gives you access to the lockers.
