Senior activities at Southbury
Southbury Leisure Centre offers a range of healthy sport & physical activity sessions especially dedicated for those aged 50 years & over.
Keep active, socialise & enjoy a range of activities all for as little as £6.50 for the day with a Better Adult Senior 50+ pay as you go membership, which is £20 for the year or with a 50+ forum membership*.
Senior activities days are Tuesday & Wednesday - 9:00-16:00pm.

Senior group fitness classes
Senior customers are able to access all classes throughout the week including our BETTER Basics classes designed by our instructors to provide lower intensity exercises and routines.
Each class will be tailored to the customer’s fitness and ability levels and are designed to use a whole range of functional equipment and body weights exercises.

Senior Sports Hall Activities
We have a a range of 50+ sports hall activities for members to try out during the 50+ days including Walking football, Walking netball & a wide range of racquet sports. All sessions are part of the 50+ day and will be included in the £6.50 day pass*.

9:30-10:30am- Walking Netball
10:45-12:15pm- Walking Football
12:30-13:30pm- Racquet Sports (Badminton, Table Tennis & Pickleball)
13:30-15:00pm- Walking Cricket
Wednesday
9:30-12:30pm- Badminton
11:30-12:30pm- Beginners Badminton
12:30-14:00pm- Pickleball
*Sessions are subject to availability and capacity. Some sessions will be chargeable dependant on membership type.
Supervised Gym access & Gym floor classes
In a relaxed and enjoyable group setting, you'll enjoy the gym facilities and have the chance to engage with our Fitness Instructors, who will be there to give demonstrations, advice on techniques and explanations of the benefits of different machines and exercises. So if you've always wanted to go to the gym - this is the perfect session for you!

50+ Members can also participate in a gym floor circuit class tailored to meet the needs of participants.

Senior Swimming & Health Suite
All of our senior swimming sessions are reduced capacity, to allow users to take thier swim at thier own pace all whilst keeping fit.
Members can also have use of the health suite during the below hours.
Sessions are available Tuesday & Friday 9:00-16:00pm.
Health Walks
Enjoy the outdoors, with our free guided walks. These sessions allow you to getsome exercise, meet new people and improve your health.
Registration at reception.
Sessions are every Tuesday 10am.
Social Time
We also give our 50+ users the opportunity to socialise with dedicated studio space every Tuesday 10.30-2pm.
Free tea, coffee and biscuits on offer, with the chance to socialise and meet other service users.
