What is Junior Gym?
Junior gym is a dedicated session for 11-17 year olds. The session allows juniors to start their fitness journey in a safe environment that's fun and effective, whilst improving their health & wellbeing
All juniors are required to have a junior gym induction before being allowed into the gym.
Session Times:
Weekdays: 7am - 8am & 3.30pm-5.30pm
Saturday: 9am - 1pm
Sunday:1-5pm

Adult & Junior Gym
Our Adult and Junior gym sessions at Better Gym offer a great opportunity for families to stay active and work out together.
We like to encourage younger people to exercise. Pre-paid adult members can bring a junior aged 11-17 years with them at no extra cost during the dedicated sessions below. Adults are responsible for supervising the junior at all times.

Junior Gym Induction
To ensure the safety of all junior members we provide a Junior Gym Induction led by a qualified fitness instructor who will show them how to use the equipment properly and safely.
Juniors are allowed to use most equipment, excluding free weights.
All juniors must book a free induction prior to their first Junior Gym session.

Junior Strength and Conditioning
Strengthen and condition your whole body in one of our Junior Strength & Conditioning classes.
These classes are a combination of Strength and conditioning activities that include Circuit Training and Body Conditioning in one class.

Junior Gym Rules
Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:
• Cardio machines (treadmills, cross-trainers, upright bikes, spin bikes, recumbent bikes and rowing machines)
• Resistance machines* (chest press, chest fly, lateral row, cables pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl, & assisted chin-up)
• Functional Area* (TRX ropes, kettle bells, bosu balls, skipping ropes, steps, slam balls, battle rope, plyo boxes, small free weights)
Juniors are not able to use the free weights area.
*Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines.
