Here at Parkside Pools and Gym, we want to support younger adults in their fitness journey by providing a safe and welcoming environment for them to work out. Juniors aged 11-17 can join the gym during dedicated time slots and work out under the supervision of a fitness instructor. Before joining the first gym sessions, all juniors will be asked to book a Junior Gym Induction with a qualified gym instructior.
Junior Gym Rules
Our Junior Gym sessions have become really popular recently. Due to this we are having to enforce a few rules to keep everyone safe.
Before allowing juniors to book onto a session they will need to have completed an induction with one of our qualified fitness instructors. You will now be required to book onto a specific slot and stick to their session timings. We are offering junior gym 6 days a week. Please look below for available time slots.
Juniors will have access to the majority of the equipment including:
- All cardio machines
- Resistence machines
- The functional area and stretch zones
Juniors are not permitted to use the free weights.
If you have any questions regarding a piece of equipment pease speak to the fitness instructor in at the time who will be happy to help.
Junior Gym
Whether you're already a sports enthusiast or just starting, our Junior Gym sessions are open to all juniors ages 11-17 who want to start using the gym as a part of their fitness routine. Sessions must be booked in advance, and Junior Gym Induction is required before the first session. The fitness Instructor will be available on the gym floor during the session to offer help and advice.

Working out as a family is not only a great way to stay active but also to spend some valuable time together. Adult and Junior gym sessions allow a pre-paid adult to bring one junior (11-17 years old) with them to the gym for free during dedicated time slots.

Here at Parkside we are starting off by offering two brand new junior classes to those aged between 11-17 with an active membership. Our very own qualified junior instructor Roji will be coming up with a accomodating yet challenging session for the juniors to push themselves. Cardio Junior
Cardio Junior is a new class that will push you to your max. The sessions will be designed to increase not only your cardio but overall fitness. Sessions will vary from shuttle runs and bleep tests to extended circuits and body weight exercises. Book online or via the app to confirm your space in this challenging but accommodating class.
Strength and Conditioning Junior
Our new junior strength and conditioing class will do exactly as it says. It will push the juniors to improve their overall strength via weights and body weight exercises. All alongside conditioning their body and helping, heping them maintain a healthier lifestyle.
