Swim for Fitness
If you’re looking for a low-impact way to get fit and healthy, swimming could be the perfect choice. Our Swim for Fitness sessions take place in slow, medium and fast lanes, so you can take things at your own pace.
Family Swimming
At Better, we believe that swimming should be fun and exciting for all the family! That’s why you’ll find a wide range of fun swim sessions at Chipping Norton Leisure Centre. From Family Fun Swim, Toddler Splash, Aqua Splash and Swim for All sessions, there’s something to make swimming fun for kids of all ages – and mum, dad and carers too.
At Chipping Norton Leisure Centre we are lucky to have a moveable floor, which means that we can raise our deep end during certain swim sessions and lessons.
During our Todler Splash session you will find the floor to be 0.7m - 12.m deep.
During 60+ swim sessions the floor will be flat at 1.2m across the pool.
The pool depth will vary during swimming lessons.
Swim for Women
We recently launched a new Swim for Women session in partnership with Active Oxfordshire. The weekly, women-only session takes place every Monday evening at 8pm and is open to leisure centre members and non-members alike.
The session was introduced following customer feedback and discussions with Active Oxfordshire and aims to encourage more local residents to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits that swimming offers.
