1. Always run anti clockwise around the track.
2. Please always be alert and look when crossing the track, especially after finishing your run.
3. Lanes 1 and 2 are for multiple laps at high effort levels and longer distance running.
4. Lane 3 is for overtaking any runners in lane 1 and 2.
5. Lanes 4, 5 and 6 are intended for sprints.
6. Lanes 7 and 8 (including 9 and 10 on the home straight) are for hurdles (hurdling should be coordinated between coaches).
7. Please do not sit, stand, lie or wait in any of the lanes around the track, when you are not running, please wait safely in the seating area, stands or the D.
8. If using starting blocks, please use them in the appropriate lanes and do not leave them on the 100m bend.
9. When catching a slower runner, athletes should shout ‘track’ and the slower runner should keep left, the faster runner will overtake on the right.
10. Headphones are allowed, however during peak times you need to be extremely cautious of other runners and can be asked by a member of staff to remove them for your own safety.
