From Hough End Leisure to England Squash number 1!

In September 2021, Eyad (age 5) joined the Hough End Leisure Centre beginners’ squash session. Playing squash every week saw Eyad enjoy and improve his squash. A year after starting, Eyad was invited to the Manchester Squash Academy at the National Squash Centre. This month also saw Eyad enter his first tournament at the Lancashire Junior County Championships finishing third.

In April 2023, the Manchester Squash Academy Scholarship was launched in partnership with MCRactive. The scholarship is a talent identification scholarship offered by the Head Squash Coach to young players identified as having potential in squash. The scholarship provided Eyad with all the equipment and coaching support to develop his squash.

In October 2024, Eyad won the North West England Championships and then finished 4th in the British Junior National Championships. In 2025, Eyad won the England Squash silver tournament in Gloucestershire. The ranking points from this tournament resulted in Eyad moving up to England Squash no. 1 for the first time in the February 2025 rankings.
