New addition to our Women's Only Programme
A new yoga class will be launching at Belle Vue on Wednesday 22nd January from 6pm-7pm. This is the newest addition to our Women's only activities and fitness class program here at Belle Vue.
We take great pride in offering women's only activities for our local community. Providing increased comfort, confidence building and leading to improved mental health and empowerment in enviroments where women might feel self-conscious or uncomfortable in mixed groups.
Yoga is an ancient system of physical, mental and spiritual practices that have been passed down through the generations from teacher to student. Yoga practices include breathing techniques, postures, relaxation, chanting, and other meditation methods.
Benefits of Yoga:
Regular Yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through Yoga.
You may feel increased mental and physical energy, a boost in alertness and enthusiasm, and fewer negative feelings after getting into a routine of practicing Yoga.
If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep lately, it may be time to try yoga. Exercise is known to improve sleep quality, and yoga is no exception. Yoga has a calming effect that can improve stress levels and sleep quality.
In addition to physical and mental health benefits, Yoga may improve a person’s self-esteem Studies show that people who practice Yoga report higher self-esteem and improved body image levels.
