WOMEN-ONLY GYM SESSIONS
Our Programmable Gym is the perfect space for our Women-Only gym sessions. The progammable gym is designed to offer privacy so you can work out in an environment comfortable to you.
The gym has 25 stations of brand new, state of the art equipment from Technogym. Get your cardio workout on treadmills, cross trainers, upright, recumbent and hand bikes, stairclimbers, skill row and ski-erg!
We have you covered for weight training too, with selectorised machines covering nine different exercise options and a free weight offering of dual adjustable pulley, half rack and 1kg-20kg dumbells.

AQUA AEROBICS
If you're looking for a low-impact class that will help you tone up, why not try one of our Aqua Aerobics classes. It's a form of gentle excercise done in the water, these classes are suitable for everyone, regardless of age or ability - combining aqua aerobic excercises with strength and conditioning moves to give you a full body workout.
Our classes are:
Monday: 11:15 - 12:00 & 19:00 - 19:45
Tuesday: 11:15 - 12:00
Wednesday: 19:00 - 19:45
Friday: 12:00 - 12:45
JUNIOR GYM - GIRLS ONLY
According to a women in sport report, only 8% of teenage girls meet the recommended activity levels of 60 minutes of physical activity each day. We understand there are several reasons for this, and in order to make the centre more inclusive and to provide more opportunities for girls to stay active, we have introduced a new junior gym session specifically for girls in our programmable gym.
Our programmable gym is a private area for you to excercise and feel comfortable in. As part of your junior gym membership you receive an induction in how to use the equipment safely and how to get the most out of your excercise.
Session Times:
Monday to Friday: 15:30 - 18:30
Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 - 17:00
SWIM FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN
At Abraham Moss Library and Leisure Centre we are proud to run an inclusive timetable and are continuously looking for feedback from our customers.
In response to this feedback, the centre now runs Swim for Women and Children sessions, supervised by fully qualified female lifeguards, to ensure you can swim in an environment comfortable to you and enjoy quality time with your little ones!
Please note boys are able to attend this session up to the age of eight.

ADULT SWIMMING LESSONS - WOMEN-ONLY
Learn to swim in an environment comfortable to you. Our Adult Swimming Lessons are taught by friendly, fully qualified swimming teachers following the learn2swim pathway.
Lessons are taught by female instructors and changing rooms allocated for the lessons will be women-only spaces.

ADULT AND JUNIOR GYM - WOMEN-ONLY
Our Adult and Junior Gym sessions are the perfect opportunity for you and your junior to train together, and allow a junior member to attend outside of traditional junior gym hours, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
Our female only adult and junior gym sessions take place in our Programmable Gym and are as follows:

SWIM FOR WOMEN AND TEENAGE GIRLS
We run a number of Women-Only swim sessions each week, all supervised by fully qualified female lifeguards to ensure you can swim in an environment comfortable to you and, based on your feedback, teenage girls aged 11-16 can now also attend the sessions.

WOMEN-ONLY SAUNA AND STEAM SESSIONS
Our health suite is located within the pool changing area of the centre and due to user-led design, the space can be accessed independantly of the swimming pool, meaning our Women-Only sauna and steam sessions can be served by Women-Only changing spaces.
The changing room allocated to your booking is included within the booking made either via the website or the app, if you are not sure, just ask a member of the team at the centre who will happily point you in the right direction.
