Our Event at Whipps Cross University Hospital

On 4th February we completed an Outreach event at Whipps Cross University Hospital!

The main focus of this outreach reach event was to exercise some of core values being:

Tackling health inequalities: GLL works to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities.

As Whipps Cross University hospital being the main hospital in our borough, the community seeing us do events with them is great exposure. It builds trust and helps us at Stadium gain more members looking to improve their health.

Customers and communities at our heart: GLL prioritizes the needs of its customers and communities 

This being beneficial for Walthamstow Stadium as we currently have Whipps Cross NHS Cardiac rehab team hiring our facilities, this helps us maintain the relationship with the cardiac team. Which is very important as this could help us generate more income.

More than a job: GLL aims to create a workplace that's more than just a job 

As a team we take pride in the work we deliver. It is well known we all have a good relationship with our members. Reason why we decide to go above and beyond when putting on these events.

Our Outreach event consisted of health checks, blood pressure checks and BMI checks. We did challenges for those attending such as push up, step, plank and kettle bell challenges.

We did a 30 minutes Core class and handed out GLL goody bags to all those in attendance.
