Start your child's fitness habits early with a Junior Gym membership for children aged 11-17 years at Better Gym Teddington. With time slots available after school, at weekends and over the school holidays, our qualified staff are on-hand during these sessions to ensure juniors are having fun and working out safely.
Junior Gym memberships are available at Better Gym Teddington for as little as £21 per month. This membership lets juniors access our fantastic facilities, an extensive range of cardio equipment, resistance machines and free weights. A range of Instructor-led fitness classes are scheduled on weekdays at 4 pm.
Junior Gym
Are you looking to get your children aged between 11 and 17 fit and healthy? Our Junior Gym sessions are the perfect solution! We offer designated workout timeslots supervised by our experienced fitness instructors, who will provide guidance and support. They are on hand to answer any questions your child may have. Pre-booking is essential and can be done quickly and easily through our website or mobile app.
Junior Induction
In order to guarantee the safety of our young members, we provide a Junior Gym Induction, which a certified fitness instructor leads. This mandatory induction discusses individual goals, demonstrates how to perform exercises with the correct technique and use the equipment safely. Juniors will also receive a tailored exercise program to get them off to the best start.
Junior Gym Rules
Junior Gym sessions:
Monday - Friday 15:30-17:30
Weekends 13:00-15:00
Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:
- Cardio machines (treadmills, cross-trainers, upright bikes, spin bikes, recumbent bikes, ARC Trainers, & rowing machines)
- Resistance machines* (chest press, chest fly, lateral row, cables pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl, & assisted chin-up)
- Functional Area* (TRX ropes, kettle bells, bosu balls, skipping ropes, steps, slam balls, battle rope, plyo boxes, small free weights)
Juniors are not able to access the free weights area. *Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines, as well as under 10kg dumbbells in the functional area.
Junior Gym classes
Junior fitness classes take place during the Junior gym sessions and are tailored to this specific age group. These 30 minute fitness classes are led by our qualified Fitness Instructors and take place on the gym floor at 4pm and 5pm on weekdays. Fitness classes will include:
- Core Conditioning- Get stronger and sculpt those abs! These sessions are designed to help you get fitter, stronger and leaner using a series of exercises using equipment and your body weight.
- Circuits - Work up a sweat with a mix of strenghth focused and cardio based exercises, think fast paced and high energy! This fun circuit style class is the perfect full body workout.
Adult and Child Gym
Calling all gym members with children! Would you like to bring along your child to the gym to train with you? Our 'Adult and Junior Gym' sessions allow any pre-paid adult to bring a child to the gym with them for free! The reservation must be made by the adult who books the 'Adult and Junior Gym' session with their membership. Juniors do not need to book the session but must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.
Session Days & Times: Saturday & Sunday, 1pm-3pm.
Supervision: Please note that the adult/parent must actively supervise the child at all times and takes responsibility for the child's conduct and safe use of machines. Only children between 11-17yrs are permitted in the session, and it is limited to one child per one supervising adult.
