Junior Gym
Junior Gym sessions are designed for children aged 11-17 and allow them to workout at designated timeslots. To participate, pre-booking is required either online or through the app. A fitness instructor will be present during the session to provide supervision, guidance, and answer any questions.
Whether you are a first timer or regular user, the gym at Sutton Sports Village offers a fantastic environment for youngsters to start to workout on state of the art fitness equipment.
Ages: 11-17 years
Session Days/Times:
- Monday - Friday - 3.30pm-5.30pm
- Saturday - Sunday - 12pm - 2pm
(During holiday periods we also offer the following additional times: Monday - Friday 12pm - 2pm)
Price: Junior Member £0, Junior Non Member £12.50*
*Induction required with fitness instructor prior to first session. Inductions available at 4.00pm on weekdays and 12.00pm on weekends.

Adult & Junior Gym
Our Adult and Junior gym sessions offer a great opportunity for families to stay active and spend quality time together. These sessions are for adults and juniors to train together so parents can bring their child (maximum one child per adult) and support/supervise them during their workout. All attendees must book their session in advance and juniors must have completed an induction with a fitness instructor prior to attending their first session.

- Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 3.00pm - 6.00pm
(During holiday periods we also offer the following additional times: Monday to Thursday 3.00pm-6.00pm)
Price: Junior Member £0.00, Junior Non Member £12.50, Adult Member £0, Adult Non Member £13.50,
Supervision: Please note that the adult/parent must actively supervise the child at all times and takes responsibility for the child’s conduct and safe use of machines. Only children between 11-17yrs are permitted in the session and it is limited to one child per one supervising adult. If an adult is found to not be supervising or the child is misusing gym equipment or misbehaving then both parties may be asked to leave.

Junior Gym Induction
To ensure the safety of all junior members, we provide a Junior Gym Induction led by a qualified fitness instructor who will demonstrate how to properly use the equipment and perform exercises. All juniors must book this induction prior to their first Junior Gym session.
Ages: 11-17 years
Days and times available:
- Monday to Friday: 4.00pm-4.30pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 12.00pm-12.30pm
The instructor will provide guidance on what equipment is able to be used, and how to safely train on the machines, during the induction. If you have any questions on what or how to use equipment please ask the instructor.
Please ensure that you attend your induction wearing suitable gym clothing and trainers, as you will be using the equipment. We also recommend you bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated. We do not allow bags to be taken into the gym so please store your belongings safely in a locker - located in the changing room and the corridor outside the gym. All lockers require a padlock.
Group Cycle Basics
We are pleased to announce that we have introduced Group Cycle Basics classes to our fitness class timetable which are open for junior members to take part in. Classes take place at the following times:

- Sunday - 11.00am - 11.30am
Our Group Cycle classes are high intensity exercise sessions that take place on a stationery bike. The class combines cardio and endurance in a 30 minute high calorie burning session - all completed to a bouncing and motivational soundtrack.
These classes are open to both adults and juniors. All attendees (both adult and junior) must be booked in advance. The sessions have a limited capacity so make sure to reserve your slot beforehand to guarantee your space.

Junior Gym Rules
Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:
- Cardio machines (including treadmills, cross-trainers, varios, upright bikes, spin bikes, recumbent bikes, arm cycle and rowing machines)
- Resistance machines* (including chest press, cable pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl)
- Functional area (including TRX ropes, kettle bells, bosu balls, skipping ropes, battle ropes, plyo boxes and small free weights)
*Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines.
Please note juniors are not permitted to use the free weights area and the plate loaded Pure Strength machines.
