All is aimed at getting you active, having fun while keeping you healthy at the same time.

Whatever your level of fitness, you're welcome to attend our lower intensity fitness classes with simpler movements which help you build confidence and the foundations to get moving.
We have a number of BASICS classes which run weekly at Morden Leisure Centre which may suit your ability.

Fitness Classes for 60+ At Merton Libraries
Merton Libraries Mindspace project focuses on increasing physical activity amongst Merton residents who would not normally be able to access provision at an affordable cost. Working in partnership with BETTER leisure centres in Merton, fitness instructors from Morden Leisure Centre deliver free classes which include a mixture of different exercises to improve mobility, flexibility and core strength taught in a fun and relaxed environment.

Enjoy the peace and quiet of the pool at Morden leisure Centre during our Swim For 60+ sessions. Every Tuesday morning from 9:30am - 11:00am the pool is dedicated for the older aged members of our community.
With serene views of Morden Park and a calming atmosphere in the pool, you will feel all your stresses wash away.
Age UK Aqua Aerobics
Every Thursday at 10:20 we host an Aqua Aerobics class for any Age UK Merton members.
Why not try something new with our water workouts. Combining Aqua Aerobics with strength and conditioning moves, a workout in the water will get your heart pumping without putting pressure on joints.
Have a refreshing workout in our Secondary Pool with music throwing you back to the past.

Our senior activity sessions offer a great opportunity to social whilst also engaging in some games and activities.
On Thursdays at Wimbledon Leisure Centre offers a warm room with hot freshments available. You can try you hand at dominoes, draughts, card games and dominoes, with table tennis available in the studio upon request.
If you wanted to, you can pick the brains of Lynn who will take you on the gym floor to go through any exercises you may feel benefit your workout going forwards.
These sessions are for you to enjoy and can be catered based on feedback received.
Senior Walking group launched at Wimbledon Leisure Centrer from Monday 15th April, meet at the studio at 12.30pm.
Canons Leisure Centre opens up its sports hall on Mondays to a range of activities. Many sports available including short tennis, short mat bowls, darts and badminton . There are refreshments available throughout and the session is looked after by a small committee who also arrange regular field trips for those interested.
On Tuesdays at Morden Leisure Centre you'll be able to take part in table tennis, short mat bowls, a fitness class, disc golf, pitch and putt and boules. Every week from 14:15 - 16:15pm.

Meet George Wright, our super friendly Senior Co-ordinator. George has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years, teaching a variety of classes and motivating people to reach their fitness goals. He strongly believes that age should not be a barrier to anything and any generation should be able to enjoy exercise.
Senior Activity sesssions will be taking place on Tuesdays from 14:15 - 16:15 and will include, Table tennis, Short Mat bowls, Basic Fitness Class, Swimming session & Gym session.
Disc Golf, Pitch and Putt is also available on request, (You will need to bring own golf clubs)
This session also inludes a discount on any hot drinks in our cafe area.

A few health benefits of Swimming for Seniors includes, improved cardiovascular health, enhanced mental health and well-being & assists in reduction of joint pain and improved bone health. We are offering free swimming for seniors every Thursday, between 10am-midday (Swim for All).
