Queensmead Sports Centre gym has everything you need to fulfil your training needs. Divided by four zones: Cardiovascular, resistance, strength and functional, these provide varied training options to suit all those health and fitness goals. Read more below about each area and available equipment.
Cardiovascular Zone
This Zone will help you to rise that heart rate up and improve cardiovascular fitness. It is equipped with; treadmills, cross trainers (Vario and Excite range), steppers and rowing machines.
Resistance Zone
Machines available in our resistance area; lat pulldown, cable cross over, low row, pectoral machine, chest press, arm extension, arm curl, shoulder press, vertical traction, leg press, glute, abdominal crunch, abductor, lower back, leg extension and leg curl.
Strength Zone
Our free weights area will help you to build muscles and contains; 5 benches, dumbbells ranging from 1kg to 40kg, Smith Machine, chest press (flat), chest press (incline), preacher curl and T–bar row platform.
Functional Zone
If you are up to more functional training, this area has everything you need. From kettlebells, core bags, plyo boxes, free standing punch bag, battle ropes, to medicine balls, medicine vertball and yoga balls.
