Does my child need to be able to swim?
To ensure the safety of anyone who is unfortunate enough to fall into the water everyone must wear Personal Buoyancy. Because of this, we do not demand a minimum swimming ability.
What do I need to bring?
- A full change of clothes (potentially two, so a change can be made at lunch) please ensure, you have the correct clothing for the weather
- Footwear (closed toe) which you are happy to get wet
- A towel
- Any toiletries
- Sun cream and sun hat (for sunny weeks)
- A packed lunch
- Refillable water bottle
Does my child need a wetsuit?
No, wetsuits are not compulsory, though if you have one feel free to wear it. We advise that long wetsuits are not worn in the hotter summer months.
Can I book for a select amount of days instead of the week?
Bookings are for the weeks only. There are no daily drop ins available.
What if my child cannot attend one of the days?
If for any reason your child is unable to attend one of the days, please let the centre know. We are unable to issue a refund for the unattended days.
Can I cancel my booking?
Once this booking has been confirmed a refund will not be issued unless the Centre has to cancel the sessions due to adverse weather conditions or other factors beyond its control, or exceptional circumstances approved management.
Can I watch my children?
Yes, we have a cafe, where you can watch your children on the water from their decking, whilst enjoying a coffee or cold beverage.
How much does it cost?
Our 5 day courses cost £180- £192
Our 4 day courses cost £145 - £154
We do offer concessionary rates to those on income support. Please get in touch with us at west-reservoir@gll.org to book at a concessionary rate.
My child has a disability can they still attend?
We are a fully inclusive centre, and strive to accommodate to everyone’s needs. If you have any concerns regarding your child’s ability to participate please get in touch and we can discuss it further.
When can I book onto the course?
Bookings will open for all courses every year on the 1st of March.
How can I book?
Click on the orange ‘Book Now’ button above, either sign in or follow the option to book a class (new customers). This should guide you to ‘Lessons & Courses at Better’. Now either search for the centre, or enter or postcode which is N4 2HA.
Next, select activity ‘Water Sports’ and press search. Follow the ‘Book’ button under the course you would like to attend and continue to checkout.
