GLL Sport Foundation Applications Open 

The 20th of February will see the closing of the GLL Sport Foundation Awards 2025. This means that athletes and parents of athletes have just 10 days left to complete the application process!
 
Applications are welcomed from aspiring athletes in Camden for the free gym memberships and bursaries offered by the programme which has fostered talent up and down the country.  
 
The GLL Sport Foundation (GSF) was launched 17 years ago by leisure operator and charitable social enterprise GLL, with the aim of supporting talented young athletes with funding and practical help.    
 
GLL operate the leisure facilities in Camden - under the ‘Better’ brand.   
The programme continues to widen and deepen the opportunities that come through sport across all communities.   
 
In 2024, GSF supported 39 athletes in Camden with a cumulative value of £24,000.  According the GSF research, a lack of money to compete in their favourite sport is the biggest threat to the sporting dreams of young people.  Most people agree more should be done to support Britain’s talented young athletes achieve sporting success for the opportunities and national pride that stem from this.  
 
GSF Awards include free access to Better Gyms and Leisure Centres across the UK.
