Fitness Classes
Our older adult members at Pancras Square Leisure like to feel a part of our existing programme when it comes to fitness, we take pride in all our classes being accessible and our instructors are always ready with alternative exercises if required. However, this does not stop our existing Senior members from having their favourite classes.
Further information on what to expect from each class:
Pilates – A gentle, low-impact exercise that strengthens the core, improves posture, and enhances flexibility. It focuses on slow, controlled movements and breathing, making it great for building strength without putting stress on the joints.
Tai Chi – A calming, flowing exercise that promotes balance, coordination, and relaxation. The slow, graceful movements help improve mobility, reduce stiffness, and support overall well-being, making it particularly beneficial for fall prevention.
Chair-Based Exercise – A safe and supportive way to stay active, especially for those with limited mobility or balance concerns. These seated or supported movements help improve strength, flexibility, and circulation while reducing the risk of falls.
Aqua Aerobics – A fun, water-based workout that is easy on the joints while improving strength, flexibility, and heart health. The water’s natural resistance provides a gentle way to stay active, making it ideal for those with arthritis or joint pain.
Yoga – A relaxing and strengthening practice that focuses on gentle stretching, balance, and breathing exercises. It helps improve flexibility, ease stiffness, and support mental well-being, promoting relaxation and overall health.
