Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre is inviting older adults from across the community to come along and get active at a special Senior Multi-Sport Open Day on Thursday, 24th April, from 12pm to 2pm.

Designed specifically for adults aged 60 and over, the open day promises a welcoming, inclusive environment where participants can enjoy a wide range of fun and low-impact sports and activities. The session will feature Badminton, Short Tennis, Table Tennis, and Pickleball, offering a great opportunity for people to try something new or revisit an old favourite.

Adding a unique twist to the event, Middlesex Cricket will be leading a walking cricket session — a fantastic way to stay active, sharpen hand-eye coordination, and enjoy a gentle but engaging team sport.

For those who prefer a slower pace or simply want to take a break, the leisure centre will also offer a relaxation area with coffee and board games, giving everyone a chance to socialise, unwind, and connect with others in the community.

The session is completely free to attend, and no booking is required. If you're not already a member of the leisure centre, you can simply sign up for a free membership on the day at the concierge desk — it only takes a few minutes.

This open day is a fantastic opportunity to discover the wide range of senior-friendly activities available at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre. It’s all about promoting health, wellbeing, and social connection in a friendly, no-pressure environment.

So if you're 60+, pop down on the 24th and get involved — whether you're swinging a racket, batting in walking cricket, or simply enjoying a cuppa and a game of chess, there’s something for everyone.
