SEND Swimming Lessons
SEN Swimming Lessons
Our SEND swimming lessons are designed to make staying active easy and fun for young people who are registered as disabled.
SEND swimming lessons take place in the Learner Pool (Depth: 0.9m), a parent/guardian will need to be in the water with the child/young person that they are looking after. Suitable for children/young people aged 4-16.
Lessons take place on Saturday's from 13:00 - 13:30.

Sensory Birthday Parties!
Celebrate your child's special day with a splash using the new multi-sensory equipment/lighting system in the learner pool!
Suitable for all children and young people, we host parties on Saturdays from 14:00-15:00 with floats and toys provided.
From 15:00 - 15:45, you will have access to our spacious studio room for the after-party fun, with tables and chairs provided. You can use this time to your liking, feel free to bring your own food, games, decorations etc!
IMPORTANT
30 people maximum (including parents and supervisors).
Swim Safety Rules Apply for our Birthday Parties - One competent adult swimmer may supervise up to 2 under 8’s or non-swimmers under 16 at a time.
The total cost of the Sensory Birthday Party in the Learner Pool is £209.50. Payment must be made online and in advance.
Aqua Sensory Disco!
In Partnership with SENSE, New Barnet Leisure Centre hosts Inclusive Aqua Sensory Disco sessions at New Barnet Leisure Centre!
Dance, splash and socialise in our learner pool (depth: 0.9m) which has been fitted with multi-sensory technology.
This fun, upbeat aqua disco will be led by a swimming and dance instructor who will coordinate games, dancing and activities in the pool.
Inclusive Sensory Swim
New Barnet Leisure Centre's Learner Pool contains a multi-sensory equipment & lighting system, giving children living with complex disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a calm and relaxing swim.
This includes colour mixing lighting and moving images creating various patterns on the walls, floor and pool basin.
