Workington Leisure Centre is introducing a new session called Senior Multi Sports aimed at seniors aged 66 and above from September.

 This opportunity is designed to keep seniors active, foster new friendships, and improve their social, mental, and physical well-being. 

Senior Activity sessions will take place every Tuesday mornings from 17th September. Providing a vibrant and engaging environment for seniors to participate in a range of enjoyable activities. Workington Leisure Centre is the perfect setting for seniors to come together and have a great time. 

The main objective is to promote holistic health among seniors, aligning with the values and goals of the NHS agenda. By engaging in regular physical activity and social interaction, seniors can significantly enhance their overall well-being. The NHS recognises the importance of staying active and socially connected, and senior activites at Workington Leisure Centre aligns perfectly with these principles. 

The senior multi-sport session offers a diverse array of activities to cater to various interests and fitness levels. Participants can enjoy engaging in activities such as badminton, table tennis, pickle ball and a small walk around the area or a workout in the gym. You can then unwind with board games and a hot drink with newfound friends. These activities are not only fun but also help maintain good physical fitness and promote a healthy lifestyle.
