Group Cycle

Combat

Combat is a high-energy, martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness. No experience needed. Learn moves from a variety of martial arts. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

Water Workout

Refresh yourself!  These invigorating, effective, but low-impact workouts in the water are easy on your joints. Choose from one of our themed or discipline-based classes.

Functional Fitness

I am the Fitness Class Lead at The Sands Centre. I have over 30 years experience in teaching & have taught many different types of fitness classes over the years.I can’t pick a favourite as I love all the classes & customers. I particularly like talking to people & love being part of such a fabulous centre. This isn’t a job it’s my passion.

Kim

I have taught various classes at The Sands over the many years I have worked here & still have passion for teaching.  I enjoy both teaching & participating in spin classes and also attends the gym regularly too. I love trying to motivate my participants in order for them to push just that little bit harder!

Donna

I’m Donna, I’ve been an instructor since 2011. Wanted to become an instructor because I loved Combat which is still my favourite class to teach. I love to have a dance and hopefully bring a bit a joy to people’s day. I dislike too much negativity. There’s always something to smile about.

Greetings, My name is Simon, One of 3 Yoga instructors at the Sands Centre in Carlisle, Cumbria. My Style Teaching adheres to the traditional teachings of Yoga originating from Himalayas, India and provides a diverse and transformative application to peoples lives in order to improve overall health.

I’m Bronwyn,I love all things yoga,focusing on movement, breath and how this enhances our wellbeing .I’m also a secret lover of Boxfit . Hate missing the class on a Friday !

Pauline S

I am qualified to teach Hatha Yoga for all abilities and ages; onsite and online. I particularly like teaching Chair Yoga, slow mindful flows and meditative relaxation to unite body, mind and breath - finding a deeper peace. My favourite colour is green and in my favourite drink I like a splash of lime. When needed, it’s so fun to cover Barre Fit classes!

I love to cook and in my house you'll usually find me in the kitchen! I love music of all genres, music is always playing in my life!  I Enjoy reading, especially forensic  crime, however I do love a good love story! I'm fascinated by the mind and how it works. I dislike a messy house, so cleaning is another passion!! My favourite class to teach is Bodycombat, however everything else comes a close second. That's why I do what I do,  it's my passion!

I have been a fitness instructor for 25 years and a qualified personal trainer since 2016. I did 30 years in the fire service and now my focus is on fitness. Fav class to teach is combat because it just bangs! Likes music, having fun and good conversation. Love bringing new music to my classes to share it with everyone. Dislikes boredom, any form of bullying and excuses.

I have had a love for fitness & dance since I was a child. I followed my passion dancing abroad for several years. I really like musicals but my dislike is creased clothes. 

My favourite class is Dance Fitness but I also enjoy covering a variety of classes.
