Our newly improved Clip 'n' Climb Arena provides a range of colourful climbing walls, providing fun and adventure for both child and adult climbers alike. These exciting state-of-the-art climbing wall systems allow you to have the best experience in a safe, supervised environment, suitable for those aged 4 and up.

The Clip 'n' Climb sessions at Maryport Activity Centre include a quick induction so you’re ready to scale the heights. Each climbing panel is  equipped with auto belay – an automatic safety feature – to take up the slack as you climb then lower you gently and securely to the floor.

Features

Colourful climbing Walls

Clip ‘N Climb arenas are known for their vibrant and diverse climbing walls, each featuring unique designs, shapes, and colours, and Maryport Activity Centre is no exception! These walls often include a variety of climbing challenges such as vertical walls, overhangs, slabs, and more.

Interactive Climbing

Maryport Activity Centre's Clip and Climb arena incorporates interactive elements into our climbing challenges, such as speed climbing timers, touch-sensitive holds, or games that challenge climbers to reach specific targets or complete tasks as they ascend.

Auto Belay Systems

Safety is paramount in a Clip and Climb arena, and all walls are equipped with auto belay systems. These devices automatically lower climbers to the ground in a controlled manner if they fall or let go, allowing participants to climb with confidence without the need for a belay partner.

Sessions

General Climbs

Clip 'n' Climb is Suitable for ages four and up, our sessions help your child brave new heights in a fun, safe and supervised environment. After a quick introduction from our trained instructors, your child can enjoy scaling our 7.5m climbing panel, helping them develop their abilities and grow their confidence on the wall.

SEND climbs

This climbing session operates at a reduced capacity to ensure a comfortable environment for all climbers taking part. Music can be lowered to accomodate the climbers needs. Our instructors are trained to help the climbers develop their skills, and will be on hand through-out this session to offer advice that will help the participants climb that little bit higher each time!

School Groups

At Maryport Activity Centre we offer sessions in the day for school groups no matter what size. Whether it be for PE lessons or an end of year treat. For more information get in touch.

Health And Safety Rules

To keep safe on the climbing walls please follow these simple health and safety rules:

  • Wear suitable clothing; dresses and skirts are not recommended
  • Trainers or similar shoes should be worn
  • Hair should be tied back, and jewellery removed
  • The maximum weight limit of participants is 22stone / 150kgs.
  • 4-year-old children are permitted to climb on a general climbing session however, they MUST be accompanied by a non-climbing adult.
  • 4-8 year olds need 1 supervising adult to every 2 children aged 4-8 years – this adult doesn’t have to pay but they have to be actively supervising in the activity area.
  • 8 years up to 16 years – no adult supervision required after the children are briefed and shown the briefing video.
  • Any physical activity carries an inherent risk of bumps, bruises and minor injury. By participating or allowing the children in your care to participate you acknowledge and accept this risk.
