St Austell Leisure Centre’s Major Gym Revamp: New Equipment and Facility upgrade starting 7th April 2025
The gym will undergo building works from the 7th April whereby the free weights section will be extended. Meaning that area will be closed from Monday 7th to 11th April however the free weights equipment will be moved to the Functional weights section for the five days to enable you to continue to work out during this period.
In November, St Austell Leisure Centre underwent a significant gym refurbishment, and now the second phase of redevelopment is underway, offering exciting new upgrades for strength and resistance training enthusiasts. The centre is committed to providing a state-of-the-art fitness experience with brand-new equipment, including an expanded free weights section and cutting-edge machines designed to cater to every fitness goal.
This upgrade has already made waves, with users praising the modern design and increased accessibility to a range of cardiovascular machines. The excitement continues as Phase Two gets underway, focusing on expanding and enhancing the free weights section with brand-new equipment designed to push your strength training. A variety of resistance machines are being added, giving users a complete range of options for building muscle and improving strength.
Following our gym surveys and feedback from customers the following state of the art Tecnogym equipment will be introduced to the gym on the week beginning the 2nd May 2025:-

Pure Hip Thrust Machine - Laser-focused glute training. Pure Hip Thrust revamps an all-time favourite exercise.
