Swimming Pool reopens after extensive refurbishments!

We are thrilled to announce that the 25-meter pool at St Austell Leisure Centre has reopened on 2nd January 2025 following essential maintenance and refurbishment. This significant £75,000 investment from GLL ensures the pool's future and enhances the pool surrounds.

Key Improvements:

Protecting the Future: The stainless steel pool tank, previously coated with epoxy resin, is being recoated to address rust and corrosion, ensuring long-term durability.

Enhanced Experience: Refurbishments include the reintroduction of splash features, making family swim sessions even more enjoyable.

Aquacise and Learn to Swim: Our popular Aquacise classes and learn to swim programs are back, helping you stay fit and teach essential swimming skills.

Swim School: From preschool to adult lessons, our swim school caters to all ages, teaching this vital life skill.

Additionally, the popular Chair Yoga classes will continue to be held on Mondays and Fridays.

General Manager Tristan Knight expressed his gratitude for the funding, highlighting the pool's importance to the community. With over 900 children enrolled in swim lessons and more than 20 primary schools participating, this investment is vital for teaching essential life skills.
