NO MATTER WHAT YOUR HEALTH, WE CAN HELP YOU GET FITTER AT ODD DOWN SPORTS GROUND
GLL’s firm belief that physical activity can have a beneficial effect upon the health of an individual, underpins our commitment to the provision of a Physical Activity referral programme, ‘Healthwise’ within Bath & North East Somerset.
This is a joint partnership project between GLL and BANES to break down barriers to physical activity and to tackle health inequalities. The Better Health Team provide tailored physical activity and exercise programmes for patients with risk factors for medical conditions or for those with existing long term conditions at an affordable rate – it is a programme designed to help people manage and improve their health.
In addition to the main Physical Activity referral programme, additional elements have been introduced in order to ensure that they are relevant to the needs and health concerns of BANES residents. These elements include:
- Adult Weight Management Courses
- Child Weight Management Courses
- Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase IV
- Heart failure and cardiac phase III rehab
Individuals who are not already active and who have a medical condition may be suitable for referral to this programme. Please note that this service is only available to those living in BANES or those registered with a BANES GP.
