Since January 2020, we have extended the gym and we now have a dedicated functional fitness area with brand new kit for our members. New kit includes: Kettlebells, Bulgarian Bags, Battle Ropes, Medicine Balls, Sand Bags, Push Up Grips, Plyometric Jump Boxes and Tyres. 

In 2017 we moved into the new Health & Fitness offering which saw an investment of over £500,000 upgrading the equipment to a brand new supplier Technogym.

Our gym provides over 120 workout stations. That includes a Functional Training Area boasting a range of equipment such as the Technogym SkillMill, Assualt Air Bikes, Concept Ski Ergs and Technogym Omina 8. Not to mention the amount of function kit from Slam Balls to Foam Rollers.

Our Free Weights Area has over 400kg of Weight Plates, Dumbbells up to 38kg, Olympic Half Racks, Olympic Bench Press plus more….

We also have the only adaptable Technogym Easyline circuit equipment in Bath. This has proven extremely popular with our Healthwise and Junior Members. Combing cardio and strength training together to give users an overall total body workout.

And lastly all of our CV machines have the latest Technogym UNITY™ Touchscreens so you can choose from over 60 TV Channels, 30 Radio Stations or play on a range of Android Games such as Angry Birds.

Our friendly fitness instructors are always on hand to help you meet your fitness goals from your initial induction through to refocus sessions we are here to help. We also offer personal training for those who want an extra push to overcome any obstacles.

The swimming pools at Better, Bath Sports and Leisure Centre underwent an £8 million refurbishment.

The work included a complete overhaul of swimming facilities at the centre, including the full refurbishment of the main 25-metre pool hall, as well as a brand new teaching pool.

In addition, there is also an increased and improved range of play features in the centre’s leisure pool which includes a fun flume. 

We also offer swimming lessons and courses for a wide range of ages and abilities.

You can also make a splash with your friends and family in a range of pool parties available to hire.

Useful information: For those with disabilities or limited mobility our swimming pool can be accessed via a Pool Pod (a lift into the water). The centre also has a "Changing Places" changing room, complete with hoist and changing trolley as well as accessible lockers and toilets.

There are plenty of lockers to store your clothes. Customers will be able to purchase a single use locker token for 30p from one of the four machines located outside and within the changing village (coins and notes not accepted).

Pool temperature - Main pool is kept at 28°C and the leisure pool at 30°C.

We have a buggy park where buggies can be locked securely whilst you swim.

We also offer state-of-the-art virtual fitness classes which allows customers to select from 800 on demand classes at a click of a button at a time that suits you. Perfect for those who have a busy lifestyle and can't make it to our timetabled classes.

Bounce, dodge and dive into a whole heap of fun at Bath Trampoline and Play Park.

The park includes features that will allow you to battle it out with your friends in the wipeout area, dunk some hoops, dive into the foam pits and test your reaction skills on our dodge ball court, there really is something to keep children and adults of all ages active and entertained.

For those with disabilities or limited mobility our trampoline park can be accessed by a wheel chair access hoist. The centre also has a "Changing Places" changing room, complete with hoist, accessible toilet and changing trolley.

Our tenpin bowling facility offers you a choice of great activities for friends and families of all ages to enjoy.

From birthday parties and family play, to student and corporate events this is an ideal venue for a fun packed day or night out. 

For those with disabilities, the centre also has a "Changing Places" changing room, complete with hoist, accessible toilet and changing trolley. If the lightest ball is still too heavy, we also have ball ramps to assist with bowling.

A great place for your children to let off some steam and have fun. The fully enclosed 5 storey play structure allows your child to climb, crawl, hang and do all the other stuff they love but in complete safety.

Baby changing facilities are available. For those with disabilities, the centre also has a "Changing Places" changing room, complete with hoist, accessible toilet and changing trolley.
