New 60+ activities programme launching in Lewisham
Following the changes recently announced by Lewisham Council regarding the Be Active membership, Better leisure centres across Lewisham will be introducing a brand new discounted activity programme for our senior members aged 60 years and over.
Club Lewisham is the exciting new activity programme for Better members on a Be Active membership offering new activities and social sessions for local Lewisham residents to enjoy.
The activities will help you keep fit and active and have fun while socialising and making new friends. The new programme starts from Monday 3rd October 2022 and here’s what you can look forward to getting involved with.
- Aqua aerobics
- Gym sessions
- Zumba
- Swim sessions
- Social sessions with hot drinks and snacks (additional charges will apply)
- Pilates
- Yoga
- Swim Doctor (Adult swimming lessons)
- Table tennis
- With more activities coming soon.
Where and when will the sessions run?
Each centre will run a weekly programme offering a variety of activities including Glass Mill Leisure Centre, Wavelengths Leisure Centre, Forest Hill Pools and Bellingham Lifestyle and Leisure Centre.
Club Lewisham members will be able to access all Better run leisure centres in Lewisham The weekly timetables will be available shortly so look out for further details. Customers are welcome to attend as many sessions as they wish over the course of the week.
How do I become a member / book an activity session?
You can become a member from Monday 3rd October; either joining via our website, or in centre and there will be two options available to you.
Firstly the Be Active Partnership concessionary membership which will give you unlimited access not just to the Club Lewisham programme, but to a variety of additional activities that run in our centres.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to pay-as-you-go you will be able to register for a Be Active Senior (60+) membership. You will then be able to select and pay for the individual activities you would like to attend. Prices to take part in the individual activities will be found on the Prices tab of your chosen centres home page.
Activities can be booked in centre, via our website or the Better UK app. A member of our friendly concierge team will be able to assist you in-centre with joining or booking activities, if you have any problems.
