We are committed to improving our services in your local community and making your leisure experience even better. That's why we're pleased to let you know that we’re investing in a refurbishment of the outdoor pool at Oasis Sports Centre.

The upgrades include pool floor resin replacement, install of back stroke flags, replacement steps into the pool and a full redecoration of the poolside and surroundings.

Temporary Disruptions

To allow us to undertake the upgrades, the outdoor pool and Sauna will be temporarily closed from 30th September for 4 weeksWhile these works take place, the indoor pool will be available to all members.

Update 7th October

Last week, we successfully removed the old tile edging around the pool, and the installation of the new tiles is well underway, with the majority already in place. Alongside this, we’ve started the decorative works, which include repainting and revitalising key areas to create a fresh and updated look. This is all in preparation for the rendering process, which is set to begin today (7th October). Additionally, two of the six pool entry steps have been successfully removed, and the remaining four are scheduled to be removed over the course of this week to ensure smooth progress for the upcoming renovations. We're pleased that the work is all currently running to schedule.

Thank you for your patience whilst we make these upgrades; we can't wait for you to enjoy your improved facilities. Please speak to a team member if you want to find out more about the investment in your outdoor pool.

Week 1 update 07.10.24

Last week, we successfully removed the old tile edging around the pool, and the installation of the new tiles is well underway, with the majority already in place.

Alongside this, we’ve started the decorative works, which include repainting and revitalising key areas to create a fresh and updated look. This is all in preparation for the rendering process, which is set to begin Monday 7th October. We are currently running on schedule and have had no delays due to the weather as yet

Week 2 update 14.10.24

Last week, the team made significant progress on the outdoor pool, completing the edge tiling entirely and rerouting where necessary—all while braving various weather conditions to stay on track. The external walls were fully rendered, all painting tasks were finished, and we successfully lifted and replaced every manhole cover and drain. Specialist divers also removed the old pool steps, with the new steps and backstroke flags prepped for installation! We’ve received the resin and stones, allowing us to move forward with redecorating the outdoor flooring.

We're still on schedule and hoping for minimal rain this week to keep things moving smoothly!
