Offering a wide range of activities, Lee Valley White Water Centre can provide a thrill seeking experience for your students.
A range of activities available for Key Stage 2 and up from kayaking to white water rafting at this unique London 2012 venue. A short summary of each can be seen below.
White Water Rafting on the Legacy Loop
Experience length: 90 minutes, allow 120 minutes for your session
Price: £230 raft for five people
Age: 8+ years
Share the laughs with your friends as you’re challenged and guided down the course tackling the white water of the 160m Legacy Loop.
The experience will last for 90 minutes this includes a safety brief and kit distribution with up to one hour on the water including an activity assessment. Once you’ve been fully kitted out with wetsuits and wetboots, you’ll be introduced to your raft guide who’ll help you navigate your way down the Legacy Loop.
First things first, they’ll talk you through the basic skills and safety elements of rafting whilst on the lake then move on to completing our Activity Assessment. You’ll then be ready to hit the rapids! Paddles up!

Essential information
- Our Legacy Loop rafts hold a maximum of five people per raft, with a maximum two adults and three children (recommended under 14 years old)
- Check in for your activity at reception promptly! The time will be shown on your booking confirmation. There’s no need to arrive before this time, however please do not be late as late arrivals may not be able to take part in the activity and will not be refunded

Age & Weight Restrictions
- All participants must be aged 8+ and individually weigh under 18 stone
- All participants must complete our Moving Water Declaration Form prior to the activity
- Participants aged under 18 years must have our Parental Consent Form signed by their legal parent/guardian before being able to participate in a moving water based activity at the centre.
- Participants aged 8-17 must have a responsible adult (over the age of 21 unless legal parent/guardian) who remains on site at Lee Valley White Water Centre for the duration of their activity with one responsible adult to every four children (max)
White Water Rafting on the Olympic Course
Experience length: 90 minutes, allow 120 minutes for your session
Price: £540 raft for nine people
Age: 12+ years
Our rapids are waiting! Take on the mighty drops of our Olympic standard white water course. Your runs will all be about speed, using the power of water to navigate the course in a rollercoaster ride. We may not have a 360° loop, but we have drops that will get your heart pounding and smiles forming. Suitable for anyone age 12+.

Explore Kayaking
Experience length: 60 minutes, allow 75 minutes for your session
Price: £16 per person
Age: 8+ years
Our Explore Kayaking sessions are fun for all the family and take place on our crystal clear lake. These fun and relaxed sessions are a great way to paddle with your kids or friends.
The experience will last for 60 minutes; this includes a safety brief and kit distribution with up to one hour on the water. Once you're fully briefed, you'll be ready to get started! No previous experience necessary - you can improve your skills as you go! Come and have fun for either a one off session combine with a visit to River Lee Country Park or join us regularly.

Water Wipeout
Experience length: 60 minutes, allow 75 minutes for your session

Tackle our fun-sized inflatable obstacle course on our lake and compete against your mates to see who can complete our course in the fastest time. Leaping over obstacles before whizzing down the slide at the end – you’re guaranteed a splashing time.

Nothing beats this exhilarating activity, which is pure white water fun! Jump into action as you navigate your way down the rapids holding on to your hydrospeed!
The experience will last for 90 minutes; this includes a safety brief and kit distribution with up to one hour on the water including an activity assessment. Once you’ve been fully kitted out with wetsuits and wetboots, you’ll head over to the Legacy Loop to complete our short activity assessment. You’ll then be ready to leap into the Legacy Loop with your Hydrospeed – these are a cross between a float and a body board.

Raft Building
Experience length: 75 minutes, allow 105 minutes for your session

You’ll be given barrels, planks and ropes and it’ll be down to your team to construct their own raft in a race to get back to dry land. A recipe for bonding, breaking down barriers and cementing teams!

Our paddleboarding sessions are fun for all the family! Discover the world of Stand Up Paddle Boarding on our crystal clear lake and have fun or relax whilst you paddle with your kids or friends.
The experience will last for 60 minutes; this includes a safety brief and kit distribution with up to one hour on the water. No previous experience is necessary - just turn up and test your balancing skills! Once you’ve been fully briefed by one of our instructors, you’ll be ready to get started!
