The Velodrome Challenge helps raise £290,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity
Cycling fans gathered at the Lee Valley VeloPark for an exciting day of racing, fundraising and entertainment earlier this month.
The seventh Velodrome Challenge raised an incredible £290,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Children’s Cancer Centre, bringing the total amount raised over seven years of events to more than £2 million.
The event featured cyclists of all levels, including Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton CBE, who took part in the exciting races.
Following the competition, the evening continued with a glamorous gala, live auction, and a three-course dinner prepared by Gordon Ramsay’s team. Guests had the opportunity to bid on exclusive items, with all proceeds benefiting the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The Velodrome Challenge has become a key annual event, bringing together the cycling community for a day of fun, energy, and giving.
A huge thank you to all the participants, sponsors, and donors who made this year’s event such a success. Your support is vital in helping Great Ormond Street Hospital continue its life-changing work. We look forward to seeing you next year!
