Meet the mini ponies
Come and meet our mini horses, Sugar and Charlotte.
Price: £17.50 per person
Age: 3 years and above.
Timings: 30 minute sessions on weekdays.
A great introduction for younger children to build confidence around ponies, or for teens and adults to have some fun. You'll spend time grooming, plaiting and taking photos with our miniature ponies.
Minimum of two people and maximum of six people per session.
Sessions are subject to availability and must be booked in advance

Own a Pony
Age: 5 - 15 years
Timings: Two hour session (school holidays only)
Get hands-on experience in all aspects of horse care. Own a Pony sessions give your children the chance to really experience what it's like owning a pony. Children will have fun, learn and gain confidence being around ponies on these two hour sessions.
They'll receive qualified instruction throughout whilst getting hands-on experience in aspects of horse-care such as grooming, handling and putting on saddles and bridles. Once their ponies are ready, the children will have a ride.
Please note this is a school holiday activity only. Spaces are limited therefore booking in advance is advised to avoid disappointment.
Stable Helpers Course
Who: 11 years plus and novice level minimum
What: Spend a day in the stables with us and start at the beginning and learn the foundation of stable management principles.
Price: £50 per person
Timings: 2 hours
Pony Stars
Lee Valley Riding Centre are proud to be an official BHS Pony Stars Junior Challenge Awards approved centre.
We deliver The British Horse Society (BHS) programme which aims to help under 12s discover, develop, and nurture their love for ponies and the outdoors. With over 100 topics for children to explore, Pony Stars will ignite a passion for ponies, build knowledge and cement friendships that will last a lifetime.
As part of the programme, each child will receive their very own My Challenge Book to log their achievements. As they progress through the various challenges there will be stickers, badges, and rosettes up for grabs too to keep them engaged and motivated.
With four key groups, Pony Stars enables long-term progression with a range of activities that will develop knowledge, skills, and self confidence. In each group your child will work through sets of challenges that make up topics within set themes.
