UK Fire Fighters Ice Hockey team scores big for charity
The UK Fire Fighters ice hockey team faced off against the Surrey Lions in a charity game at Lee Valley Ice Centre that got fans and players alike pumped up.
This weekend saw an exciting match take place that wasn't just about showing off skills on the ice – it was also about supporting important causes.
Even though competition was fierce, the real winners were the charities benefiting from this icy showdown. Thanks to everyone that attended and your incredible generosity, collectively we’ve raised around £850 in total (not counting online contributions). This money will go on to help two great organisations such as Care of Police Survivors and the Fire Fighters Charity.
This event was made even more special as it was dedicated to the memory of Lee Valley Lions legend Eddie Joseph.
Thanks again to everyone who made this event such a success and a big shout out to the players from the UK Fire Fighters ice hockey team and Surrey Lions who took to the ice on the day.
