Lee Valley Ice Centre Celebrates an Incredible Milestone – One Million Visits!
Lee Valley Ice Centre is thrilled to celebrate an exciting milestone – welcoming our one millionth visitor! In less than two years since opening in June 2023, our state of the art, £30 million venue has become a hub for local schools, skaters, community groups and families.
Since day one, we’ve been committed to making a positive impact in the community. Our school skating programs have introduced hundreds of local children to the joy of ice skating, offering free sessions that encourage active lifestyles and inspire a love for the sport.
Schools across Waltham Forest and beyond have embraced these opportunities, ensuring that young people experience the thrill of gliding across the ice in a fun and supportive environment.
Our Learn to Skate program has also been a huge success, with over 600 individuals of all ages lacing up their skates each week to develop their skills and confidence on the ice.
To mark this incredible milestone, we hosted a special free skating session for hundreds of students from local schools, including Chingford Foundation, Holy Family, and Eden Girls Secondary Schools, as well as Sybourn, Thorpe Hall, Oak Hill, Willow Brook, Hillyfield Academy, George Tomlinson, and Greenleaf Primary School. We were also delighted to welcome members from the Lee Valley Lions and the Lee Valley London Skating Club to join in the festivities.
Beyond skating, Lee Valley Ice Centre is proud to serve as a home for various community groups, including Salaam Peace and Core Arts. These organisations have made our venue a key part of their activities, fostering a welcoming and inclusive space for all.
And the celebrations don’t stop there! To mark this fantastic achievement, we’re giving you and your family the chance to win unlimited public skating for a year and a FREE family gym membership!
