Celebrate 10 years with Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre! It's been a fantastic decade since we first opened our doors to the public and on Sunday 23 June we’re inviting you to join us.
Originally built for the London 2012 Games, we’ve gone on to host major events like the the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters, the FIH Hockey Pro League, the Unibet EuroHockey Championships, the Men’s and Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy, the Hockey World League semi-finals and the Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup earning a reputation as a top sports destination. We've made hockey and tennis accessible for everyone, no matter their age or ability - and we’ve had a lot of fun along the way!
Reflecting on the past decade, Rachel Seddon, General Manager at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, remarked: "For the past decade, we’ve demonstrated a commitment to sports and creating memorable experiences for our community at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre and we’re proud of our rich Olympic legacy.”
To mark this special occasion, we’re inviting you to join us for our 10 year anniversary celebration on Sunday 23 June 2024. We’ve got a day full of exciting activities planned:
- Hockey Masters Tournament (12:00 - 15:00):
- Veteran players from East London, Wapping, Crostyx, and Waltham Forest will compete on the pitch.
- Tennis Masters Tournament (13:00 - 16:00):
- Jamie v Tiago: 13:00 - 14:30
- Justina v Jovana: 14:30 - 16:00
- Free outdoor tennis for kids aged 4 - 6 (11:00 - 13:00)
- The Clubhouse will be open from 10:00 - 16:30, serving coffee samples
