The Ayo Falola Dream Mile once again proved to be an unforgettable night of athletics at Lee Valley Athletics Centre with thrilling performances, new records and standout victories.

James McMurray stole the show, setting a new stadium record of 3:57.60 in a thrilling elite mile, narrowly beating Callum Elson (3:57.82) and Alex Mellon (3:58.42).

Masters athletes made history, with Kojo Kyereme (M50) running 1:58.80 in the 800m to break the world record, and Andrew Ridley (M60) clocking 4:45.16 to better Rob McHarg’s freshly set 4:50.22 record.

Laura Haggarty (W40) set a British mile record (5:02.79), while Clare Elms (W60) just missed a world mark (5:31.69). Sarah Astin dominated the women’s elite mile with a personal best (PB) of 4:42.84.

Other standout performances included Grace Vans Agnew’s solo 2:02.81 800m PB and Charlotte Henrich’s 53.94 indoor 400m PB.
