2024 Challenge winners part 2!
From last week’s news story and a couple in the middle of last year, we have looked at 9 of the 12 challenge winners from 2024, we will now be looking at the final winners from 2024 and looking what’s in store for challenges in 2025!
Starting in October, we had the champions curl, with your heels and bum against the wall, you were required to do 1 bicep curl, the winner would be determined by who could life the highest percentage of their bodyweight! For the men, Curtis took home his first winners medal, a challenge that really peaked his interest as it was the first one he had tried! On the women’s side Amy took the win, in again her first challenge win but maybe not her last of the year.
Moving into November we had the Bonfire Bounce, which involved moving down the 10 metre track, throwing a slam ball (5kg for women, 10kg for men) over hurdles every 2 meters, for the men, James came in to again win his first of the year, as somebody who has attempted every challenge, everyone in the gym was really happy to see him win! On the women’s side, Amy's sister Emily came in with the win putting in a bit of family dominance for the end of the year!
Finally in December we had it was time for Santa's substitute, which had members running down the track, loading up the tank sled with presents, then running the heavy sled back down the track dropping off presents every 3 meters! Once again for the men James came in and won his second challenge of the year, and on the women’s side completing the end of the dominance, Amy came back in to win her 2nd challenge and finish the year off in the right way!
We are currently running the Balancing Bin throw challenge until the start of February, standing on a bosu how many consecutive times can you throw the Pilates ball into the bin! Current scores are 153 on the men’s side and 46 on the women’s, can you beat them?
