Learn new skills with Better
Plenty of people hit the gym looking to make positive changes to their physical health. But it’s not just your physical fitness you should be considering – it’s important to think about wider life skills too.
We want people to take a more holistic approach to their personal development, which is why we’ve partnered with Skills for Life – a national campaign by the Department for Education – to help adults make the most of the training and learning opportunities available to them.

Reach your full potential by learning new skills
Think of learning as a workout for your brain! It keeps you sharp, boosts your confidence, and opens doors to new opportunities.
It might seem easier to hit the gym than to learn a new skill, and many people feel the same way. But just like your physical fitness, learning should be a regular part of your routine. And the good news is, there are plenty of free and flexible ways to learn new skills in 2025.
Whether you want to advance in your career, explore a new hobby or simply stay curious, learning can help you reach your full potential.
Explore your learning options
There are lots of flexible government-funded courses available across the country to support you on your learning journey. From short courses like Skills Bootcamps, available in a range of subjects, to Apprenticeships or Higher Technical Qualifications, there’s something to suit everyone's goals.
