Energise Leisure Centre on Cornlands Road serves Acomb and the wider York community with fitness, swimming and activities for all ages. The gym has cardio and weights for your workouts, while the 25-metre pool offers lane swimming, lessons and aqua aerobics. There's also a teaching pool for learners and a functional training zone for strength and conditioning work. Studios offer group cycle, yoga, Pilates, circuits and body conditioning classes every day, alongside over-50s sessions. The sports hall hosts badminton, basketball and football, while outdoor tennis courts and a climbing wall add variety. Soft play keeps younger children entertained. Birthday parties and junior programmes run regularly. We partner with York High School and support local health programmes to keep the community moving.
