Blaydon Leisure Centre on Shibdon Road brings fitness and swimming to the local community, tucked next to a nature reserve with Blaydon train station nearby. The gym includes a variety of strength and cardio equipment for your workouts, while the 25-metre pool and learner pool suit swimmers of all ages. There's also an athletics track, outdoor pitches and a 3G pitch for sports clubs and casual play. Classes include aquafit, Zumba, dance aerobics, HIIT, Pilates, circuits and boxfit, with rehab and over-50s sessions also available. Aqua Splash sessions give kids a chance to play in the pool, and there are women-only swimming session each week.
