The following terms outline the responsibilities of any skater using training ice. Arena Management reserve the right to refuse entry to training ice along with the removal of skaters upon the breach of the following terms:

Section 1 - General Training Ice Entry Requirements

1. All skaters must be in Skate UK Level 6 or higher certificates to qualify for training ice.

2. All skaters must have read the patch rules.

3. All skaters in Skate UK Level 5 and under can only be on training ice whilst in a private one-to-one lesson.

4. All skaters must have their own figure skates to train on training ice.

Section 2 - Training Ice Etiquette

1. Mobile phone and iPad usage must be taken off the ice. However, skaters in a lesson may use their mobile phones under the supervision of their coach.

2. Any personal discussions between skaters must be conducted off the ice.

3. Drinking or eating must be taken off of the ice. Drinks can be taken on ice if in a lesson.

4. No headphones/earphones permitted on the ice at any time during training ice.

5. Skaters must always remain courteous to each other.

6. Foul language or spitting on the ice will not be tolerated during training ice.

7. Use of the audio equipment is restricted to the coaches and staff members only unless arranged with coaches on the ice at that time.

Section 3- Order of Priority During Training Ice (Highest to Lowest)

1. Skaters performing their programme to music in a one-to-one lesson (includes one dance or one pair team).

2. Skaters in a one-to-one lesson which includes a dance couple and a pair team.

3. Skaters in a group lesson. With or without music.

4. Skaters performing their programme outside of lesson time.

5. All other patch ice users.

Section 4- Safety During Training Ice

1. All patch ice skaters are responsible for themselves.

2. Upon falling, skaters should get up quickly to avoid additional risk to themselves and other skaters.

3. Please ensure to practice elements in appropriate areas of the ice safely.

4. Hair must be secured in an appropriate manner to keep from impairing your vision.

5. No food or drink is to be consumed on the ice.

6. Personal belongings are to be kept on the hockey bench on the skate hire side only.

7. Skaters must wear appropriate attire to train during training sessions (no excessively baggy clothing).

8. Any free-flowing garments such as long scarves must be tucked away during training ice.

9. Games are not permitted during training ice.

10. Any person found breaking the rules or not cooperating with the rules will be asked to leave the ice.

Final decisions regarding skater conduct will rest with the management of Cambridge Ice Arena. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the terms outlined in this agreement, please speak to a member of staff.

 

You will be required to sign a copy to confirm that you have read and accept the new patch rules.
