Epsom and Ewell
Let’s get moving!
The human body is a fantastic design and is meant to move. With today’s opportunities and lifestyle, we sometimes forget that, to stay fit and healthy, we need to put aside the time to ensure that our body has the opportunity to move, preferably with at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day.
All forms of activity can be beneficial, and the goal should be to enjoy health-enhancing physical activity within three ways:
- Active Living by introducing physical activity into our regular routines (walking to work, using the stairs, a good slog of gardening, playing with the children)
- Exercise, which is best achieved by physical activity of at least a moderate intensity
- Sport, focusing on participation, fun and skill development I think most people think of exercise when they think of the Rainbow Leisure Centre (and it has got a fantastic gym).
However bringing the children or a bunch of mates for a swim can be part of an active lifestyle and there are also great sports opportunities. The Rainbow Leisure Centre is a great asset for the Epsom & Ewell residents of all ages to engage in physical activity. There are swimming classes and gym sessions for the very young and the over 55’s group regularly trounce other Surrey Boroughs in sporting achievement.
Enjoy your sessions at the Rainbow Leisure Centre and get that body moving!
